<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain aqueous ink or an aqueous coating excellent in initial dispersibility and long-term storage stability, and particularly, to provide ink excellent in discharging characteristics and printing characteristics when it is used as pigment ink for inkjet recording by compounding a pigment dispersant comprising a specific polyglycerine derivative with a pigment. <P>SOLUTION: The pigment dispersant is a reaction product obtained by reacting a polyglycerine having an average degree of polymerization of 2-10 obtained from a hydroxy group equivalent, an alkylene oxide of 2-150 mole, and a 4-24C straight-chain or branched saturated or unsaturated fatty acid or aromatic carboxylic acid, and has an HLB in a range of 12-19. The pigment dispersant is compounded with the pigment in an amount of 0.01-70 wt.% to the pigment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
