PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional aluminum building material which is excellent in antibacterial property, fungicidal property, antifouling performance and durability, specifically a functional aluminum building material which decomposes contamination sources such as bacteria and fungi by using ultraviolet radiation. SOLUTION: The aluminum building material has a coating film containing a photocatalyst (a) and a binder component (B). Here, the photocatalyst (a) concentration in the coating film is low at the surface contacting an aluminum building material substrate but increases toward the exposed surface.
