摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power loss of a drive circuit section and power loss accompanying the variation of resonance frequencies of piezo-electric transformers by connecting input sections of a plurality of piezo-electric transformers in series and output sections in parallel, in a high-voltage generating section of a corona discharge device. SOLUTION: In this corona discharge device including two piezo-electric transformers of a high-potential side piezo-electric transformer connected to a voltage applying side and a low-potential side piezo-electric transformer connected to the GND side, the piezo-electric transformer having a lower resonance frequency is used as the low-potential side piezo-electric transformer to reduce the difference in power loss, thus enabling a usable dispersion range of the resonance frequencies of the piezo-electric transformers to be extended.
