PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which detects a failure in advance to solve the problem that an industrial device which has stopped because of a failure requires time for restoration to bring about a state enforcing reconsideration of a production plan and the problem that a service base needs much communication expenses for services to a user such as dispatch of a serviceman from a remote place. SOLUTION: The use having a plurality of printers and other industrial devices and the service base like a maker or a sales company are connected by a network like the Internet, and the user side is provided with a mechanism which detects the gray state in which a normally operating machine may become faulty in the future and transmits it to the service base through the network, and the service base is provided with a mechanism which discriminates whether the gray state will be changed to an actual failure, and thus maintenance is performed while the machine is still in the gray state. |
