PURPOSE: A method for processing a dual mode call of a dual mode mobile communication terminal is provided to convert into a CDMA2000 1x mode when a user wants a connection of a voice call during a data call service, and to execute the voice call by a voice/data simultaneous call service, thereby automatically carrying out a function of the call service. CONSTITUTION: In an initial state(S1), a system decides whether a data call service mode is set in a dual mode terminal(S2). If so, the system converts the dual mode terminal into the data call service mode, and quickly transceives data by accessing a data transceiving equipment(S3). The system decides whether a voice call setup signal is inputted in the current dual mode terminal(S4). If so, the system requests a mobile communication network system to release a wireless resource in the data call service mode, and transfers a data call to a dormant state(S5). The system converts into a simultaneous mode to execute a next voice call, and activates the transferred data call by being assigned with the wireless resource(S6).
