摘要 PURPOSE: An air flow control device and a method for an air conditioner of a vehicle are provided to maximize air-conditioning efficiency by discharging intensively the cold air into a driver's seat according to internal temperature if passengers do not sit on passengers' seats. CONSTITUTION: An air flow control device for an air conditioner of a vehicle is composed of a driver seat sensor(10) for detecting persons of a driver's seat; a passenger seat sensor(20) for detecting passengers of passengers' seats; a PODS(Passenger Occupant Detection System,30) for sensing occupation of passengers by signals detected by the driver seat sensor and the passenger seat sensor; a room temperature sensor(40) for detecting the internal temperature of a vehicle room; a room humidity sensor(50) for detecting internal humidity of the vehicle room; a control unit(60) for detecting a signal detected by each sensor; and an ETACS(Electric Time Alarm Control System,70) opening and closing grilles of driver's seat, passengers' seats, and a front glass by the control unit.
