PURPOSE: A function testing device of a dryer and a method thereof are provided to quickly check whether the tested dryer has a defect by applying an automatic testing method into a general function test on the production and assembly line, to prevent mistakes during a manually operated test, and to reduce working loads, the number of testers, and a labor cost by using only one key of test-start. CONSTITUTION: A dryer with various sensors(102), an interface circuit(103), a motor(104), a heater(105), and a function testing device comprises a function testing unit(106) judging whether the sensors and the interface circuit are installed and whether the motor and the heater operate well during a certain time, and an error display unit(107) showing an existing defect according to the result from the function test and comprising an alarm sound generating unit and a display unit. Whether the motor and the heater operate well is identified by sensing a change of temperature. |
