PURPOSE: An ATM(Automatic Teller Machine) financial transacting system using a mobile phone and a controlling method thereof are provided to comprise infrared communication units between an ATM and a mobile phone, respectively, and to embed a chip which stores authentication information, then to transmit the authentication information to the ATM, thereby controlling depositing/withdrawing of the ATM with the mobile phone. CONSTITUTION: A mobile phone(100) comprises as follows. An authentication information storage(130) prestores financial information and authentication information. An infrared transceiver unit(110) wirelessly transceives financial transaction information by using an infrared transceiver(111). A financial transaction control module(120) comprises a financial transaction button(121), transmits the stored authentication information and financial account information to an ATM(200), and controls financial transactions. The ATM(200) comprises as follows. An infrared transceiver unit(210) communicates with the mobile phone(100) through an infrared transceiver(211). A mobile phone authenticating/controlling module(220) authenticates the information transmitted from the mobile phone(100), and processes the financial transactions. |
