PURPOSE: A DSL modem apparatus and a communication control method thereof are provided to extend communication distance by accurately delivering amplitude and phase angle of transmission data transmitted by respective sub-carriers. CONSTITUTION: A DSL modem apparatus includes a controller, a multiplier, and a modulator. The controller executes an initialization sequence exchanging a predetermined signal prior to data communication. The multiplier multiplies transmission data of a sub-carrier by gain compensation data and phase angle compensation data made for the sub-carrier. The modulator modulates a plurality of transmission data to be transmitted on plural sub-carriers simultaneously.
