PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly profitable method for producing a multilayer paper, by which both the edge portions of each layer separated in the process for producing the multilayer paper can separately efficiently be recovered and then reused. SOLUTION: This method for producing the multilayer paper, comprising sequentially performing (1) a process for making the first surface layer, (2) a process for making at least one middle layer on the first surface layer, and (3) a process for making the second surface layer on the made middle layer, is characterized by disposing a process for cutting off and recovering both the edge portions of each layer made in the processes (1) and (2) after at least the processes (1) and (2).
