PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing high strength ferrocoke for blast furnaces, in which the powder of low grade coal (non-fine coking coal) is used as a coke raw material. SOLUTION: This method for producing the ferrocoke for the blast blasts, comprising mixing coal with an iron raw material, molding the mixture, and carbonizing the molded products, is characterized by (a) preliminarily heating powdered coal and classifying the heated powder coal into dust coal and large particle coal, (b) mixing the dust coal with powdery iron raw material, (c) quickly heating and press-molding the mixture at a temperature of from 250°C to the softening-starting temperature of coal, and then (d1) carbonizing only the molded products or a suitable mixture of the molded products with the large particle coal and/or the coking coal or (d2) suitably mixing the molded products with the large particle coal and/or the coking coal, molding the mixture into the briquettes and then carbonizing the briquettes.
