PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide rail support device for an elevator capable of facilitating manufacture, installation and adjustment by eliminating maintenance work and by simplifying the structure of the support itself. SOLUTION: This guide rail support comprises a rail bracket mounted within a hoistway of the elevator and a support which is provided at the rail bracket and restrains the guide rail from moving in the traverse-section direction and enables the guide rail to slide in the longitudinal direction.
