SECURITY ROBOT

摘要

A cost- and power-saving autonomously-controlled security robot that can get in an elevator and get off the elevator to move from one floor to another without remodeling/converting the building including the elevator hall and elevator cars and installing any additional equipment. A security robot (1) that travels in a security area so as to patrol the area comprises a body (2), arms (5a, 5b) provided to the body (2), button operating portions (5c, 5d) provided to the ends of the arms (5a, 5b) and adapted to press buttons of a target object, and an image capturing unit (6) provided to the front part of the body (2) and adapted to send the image in front of the robot to a control unit as an image signal. The control unit calculates the three-dimensional position of the target from the image signal captured by the image capturing unit (6) and moves the button operating portions (5c, 5d) to the place in front of the target so as to press a button of the target.
