PURPOSE: A method for confirming authenticity of a product on a mobile terminal using a product serial number and the SMS(Short Message Service), and a recording medium recording a program for performing the same are provided to enable a seller to enhance credit, and enable a buyer to buy the authentic product with high probability by easily judging the authenticity through the program. CONSTITUTION: The first serial number of the product and a mobile phone number of the buyer are inputted through the mobile terminal(101), and the first serial number is transmitted to a serial number management server(150) of a product maker. Responding to an authenticity confirmation signal representing that the first serial number is matched with the second serial number stored in the serial number management server, the first serial number and the authenticity confirmation signal are transmitted to the mobile terminal of the buyer. In case that the buyer buys the product of the first serial number, a purchase confirmation signal is received from the mobile terminal and is transmitted to the serial number management server.
