PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict access for a data sector on a sector with a sector unit. SOLUTION: A sector header includes data used for control of behavior of a drive reading the data storage medium. For example, the header data may specify, for each sector, whether a reading drive is permitted to send un-ciphered sector data to a request side or not, whether authentication of a request side is required or not, or whether the sector data can be transferred outside the drive with an arbitrary type independently of authentication.
