CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal separator in which the rotational speed of a rotor can be decelerated by a decelerating pattern optimal to a sample to be centrifugally separated, and to provide a method for controlling the centrifugal separator. SOLUTION: A keyboard 12 and a display 13 are arranged at the upper part of this centrifugal separator 1. A user can input an optional braking switching rotational speed Nc and an optional braking time Ts from the keyboard 12 while looking at the display 13 and can confirm the inputted values by the display 13. The keyboard 12 and the display 13 are connected to a controller 100. The controller 100 controls the separator 1 on the basis of the inputted rotational speed Nc and braking time Ts so that the rotational speed of the rotor is slowly decelerated by the decelerating pattern optimal to the sample to be centrifugally separated.
