OPTICAL FILM, ANTIREFLECTION FILM, POLARIZING PLATE AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film having high surface uniformity, an antireflection film having sufficient surface uniformity and compatibilizing an antireflection capacity and a scratch-resistant capacity and a polarizing plate or a display device using the antireflection film.

SOLUTION: The optical film is constituted by providing an optical function layer containing an ultrahigh-molecular weight polymer with a mass average molecular weight of 500,000-5,000,000 on a transparent support. The antireflection film is constituted by utilizing this optical film. The polarizing plate is constituted by using the antireflection film as the protective film of the polarizing plate. The display device is constituted by arranging the antireflection film or the polarizing plate so that a low refractive index layer becomes a visual confirming side.
