PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device performing optimum fixing in accordance with an image by using a plurality of low-output lasers. SOLUTION: The laser fixing device is provided with a plurality of light sources for emitting laser beams. By superposing the respective laser beams emitted from the light sources so as to focus them on a toner image in the same area, the insufficiency of power is compensated and toner is melted so that fixing is performed. By delicately deviating the focused positions of the respective laser beams in accordance with the image quality of the toner image, the irradiation time and the quantity of the leaser beams are controlled.
