<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system capable of successively performing printing without halfway stopping the printing even if an abnormal situation occurs in one of a single-face printing function, a double-face printer, a black-and-white printing function and a color printing function, when selectively combining them to perform the printing. <P>SOLUTION: This printing system is provided with a color abnormal state detection part 55 detecting an abnormal state in time of color printing by a color printing mechanism part 52. By the detection of the color printing abnormal state, the color printing is stopped, and a black-and-white printing mechanism part 51 is operated to start black-and-white printing. The printing system is provided with a double-face abnormal state detection part 65 detecting an abnormal state in time of double-face printing by a double-face printing mechanism part 62. By the detection of the double-face printing abnormal state, the printing to double faces is stopped, and the single-face printing function is operated. Thereby, even if abnormality occurs in the color printing and/or the double-face printing, printed matter is provided by the black-and-white printing and/or single-face printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
