PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable precisely controlling wall charges and a driving method thereof. SOLUTION: N-pieces of subfields are generated from input video signals, and subfield data for each subfield are outputted in order to drive the plasma display panel including a first space defined by a first electrode and a second electrode. A first voltage is applied to the first electrode according to sustain information to cause a discharge in the first discharge space, and the first electrode is floated during a period which corresponds to the subfield data of the previous subfield. By undergoing such process, the floating reset can be performed by controlling the floating time according to the number of address cells corresponding to the previous subfield data.
