EGR COOLER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously realize a reduction in overall size and an increase in cooling performance without remarkably increasing pressure loss. SOLUTION: This EGR cooler comprises tubes 3 and a shell 1 surrounding the tubes 3. Cooling water 9 is supplied into and discharged from the shell 1 and exhaust gas is fed into the tubes 3 to heat-exchange between the exhaust gas and the cooling water 9. An expanded tube part 11 is formed at the connection end part on the shell 1 side of a cooling water inlet tube 4 (cooling outlet tube is also acceptable) leading the cooling water 9 into the shell 1 so that its tube diameter is larger than that of the remaining general portion thereof excluding the connection end part.
