A high stress stabilizer (10) for a vehicle enabling excellent durability by increasing the fatigue life of bent parts, wherein where the bend radius of the bent parts (16) is R, a raw material diameter before bending is d, the short diameter of the bent parts (16) in cross section is d1, the long diameter of the bent parts (16) in cross section is d2, and the flatness .ph i. of the bent parts (16) in cross section is .phi. = (d2 - d1)/d2 .times. 100, the shape of the bent parts (16) which are generally loaded by the maximum stress and breakable mostly is formed in a state in which the requirements o f 0 < .phi. <= 4 and (.phi. .times. d/R) <= 2 are satisfied. Thus, th e stress concentration of shearing stress produced at the bent parts (16) when the lo ad is applied to the stabilizer can be suppressed, and the high stress stabiliz er (10) can be prevented from being broken by the stress concentration at the bent parts (16).
