The invention relates to a method for testing SMS connections in mobile communication systems, said method being characterised by an automatic exchange of at least one SMS message or SMS dialogue between a test device and at least one remote station, and by a full tabular recording of the contents and protocols of the SMS messages leaving (MO) the test device and entering (MT) the test device.
