PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium which can realize a large enhancement of the density and accuracy of information. SOLUTION: This storage medium is provided with a plurality of carbon nanotubes 2 which include nano magnetic particles 9, holds this nano magnetic particles 9 by a wall surface solidly, contains the nano magnetic particles 9 so that the direction of the spin of the nano magnetic particles does not rotate from a prescribed direction as far as energy of a fixed value or more is not applied, while which are arranged in one direction of a substrate 1.
