The invention relates to the use of ss-endorphin, or at least one substance that stimulates the production of ss-endorphin, in a cosmetic or pharmaceutical composition which is intended to limit the expansion of fatty tissue owing to the effect thereof on adipocyte differentiation. The inventive composition is characterised in that it comprises ss-endorphin or at least one substance that stimulates the production of ss-endorphin.
