PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pleasant sound generator and a pseudo-sound generator which generate pleasant sound or the like to muffle excretion sound or the like in a gentle manner to earth environment. SOLUTION: A pleasant sound generator 10 is provided with a sound synthesizing section 11 which generates electric signals that are used to produce pleasant sound to change person's feeling by acting on the person's mind, an amplifying section 12 which amplifies the electric signals of the pleasant sound generated by the sound synthesizing section 11 and an electricity-to-sound converting section 13 which converts electric signals of the pleasant sound amplified by the amplifying section 12 to the pleasant sound. Moreover, the pleasant sound generator 10 is provided with a power supply section 16 which supplies electric power, an operating switch 14 which is used to instruct presence or absence of the generation of the pleasant sound and a power supply control section 15 which supplies electric power of the power supply section 16 to the sound synthesizing section 11 and the amplifying section 12 for only a prescribed time when the operating switch 14 is turned on.
