PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carcinogenesis preventive agent originating from a yeast by solubilizing a polysaccharide contained in the yeast cell walls in water through an enzymatic treatment. SOLUTION: This carcinogenesis preventive agent is prepared by using the polysaccharide contained in the cell walls of the yeast, Hansenula anomala SB1020 [PERMP-18075] or its water-solubilized polysaccharide by treatment with an enzyme. Preferably, the carcinogenesis preventive agent comprises the water-soluble polysaccharide prepared by treating the yeast cell walls of Hansenula anomala. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
