The quality control method uses examination of the plastics cladding skin (12) via ultrasonic waves for detection of thickness irregularities or holes, the examination effected within the mould (11) used for formation of the plastics cladding skin, using a frame (14) supporting a number of measuring probes (15), each having an ultrasonic measuring head (16). Also included are Independent claims for the following: (a) a cladding skin; (b) an interior fascia panel for an automobile.
