A method for data storage with MEMS (micro-electromechanical system)-switch filter and in which several binary discrete information items, parallel behind one another per pixel, in an array (1), are stored and compressed into a common wavelength of the electromagnetic spectrum with an optical filter (2) combined on the MEMS-switch, and read per pixel by optical sensors (4).
