COATING MATERIAL FOR STEEL SURFACE OR CONCRETE SURFACE AND COATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating material for a steel surface or a concrete surface, which has resistance against physical actions such as ocean wave or drift and also against chemical actions on the surface exposed to corrosive environment due to sea water components and to provide a coating method by using the coating material.

SOLUTION: The coating material 6 on the steel surface 1 is formed by applying a resin material 4 on one surface of a corrosion resistant metallic plate 3 and scattering granular solid materials 5 on the surface of the resin material 4 so that all or a part of the granular solid materials 5 is projected from the surface of the resin material4 before the resin material 4 is cured.
