PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collective disk device having a loading structure solving an optimal package arrangement considering deterioration in function and performance due to heat generation of disks and cards or the like in equipment, ensuring high reliability to prevent a system from going down, and considering loading ability and maintainability of a heavy load necessary for densification, cooling of various loading objects, interface, electric supply, or the like. SOLUTION: The cluster disk device includes a case 2 for mounting units and modules thereon; fan boxes 3 and 4 mounted with a power source 10 for initial power receiving, a battery, a cooling fan, or the like; a disk cage 6 which is mounted with a plurality of disks and consists of fan boxes installed for the purpose of cooling those disks; a card cage 5 mounted with a plurality of cards 51 for controlling the management (read, write, delete, or the like) of disk data; and a power source for supplying electricity to the fan boxes 3 and 4, the disk cage 6, the card cage 5, and the units.
