Spoiler device for a motor vehicle comprises a positioning device moving a spoiler element (11) into an active and an inactive position. The positioning device has at least one positioning element (12, 13) with a positioning arm movably positioned in a guide housing and fixed to the spoiler element. The positioning element has a manually operated adjusting device (22) for aligning the spoiler element in its inactive position relative to the outer surface of the vehicle body. The positioning element has on its fixing end (19) as the adjusting device an internal or external thread section (24) extending in the longitudinal direction of the positioning element. An adjusting element (23) having a counter-thread section (25) is screwed onto the thread section. The spoiler element is fixed on the free end (26) of the adjusting device. <??>Preferred Features: The adjusting element rotates relative to the spoiler element and has on its free end a fixing section (31) in which the spoiler element engages.
