A lens-fitted photo film unit is provided with a flash unit having a main capacitor for storing charge to power the flash. It also has a memory IC and a write control IC, capable of assuming various states, for controlling the writing of information to the memory IC. A detector circuit generates a "full-charged" signal when the capacitor is charged to a predetermined voltage, and the state of the write control IC is affected by the signal.
