SILENT ELECTRONIC BALLAST FOR LAMPS OPERATED BY ITERATIVE VOLTAGE PULSES, WHICH IS USED FOR DIELECTRICALLY IMPEDED DISCHARGE

PURPOSE: A silent electronic ballast for a lamp operated by iterative voltage pulses is provided to be used for dielectrically impeded discharge by comprising a transformer having the third winding in a ballast. CONSTITUTION: A silent electronic ballast for a lamp operated by iterative voltage pulses includes three inductors(W1,W2,W3). The inductors generate iterative voltage pulses to a lamp circuit having the lamp. The inductors include a primary winding(W1) to which a current from a voltage source is applied via a first controllable switch(T1). The primary winding is insulated from the voltage source by the first switch. A secondary winding(W2) of the inductors is coupled with the primary winding to form an operation phase for the ballast. The secondary winding is short-circuited at a low resistance via a second controllable switch(T2). The secondary winding is short-circuited at the low resistance at the operation phase.
