PURPOSE: A siphonal filler tube valve assembly and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the sealing efficiency of the filler tube check valve of the fuel tank by mounting the check valve to the filler spud of the fuel tank in extending the outlet of the valve into the tank. CONSTITUTION: A filler tube valve assembly(10) comprises a pipe(12) having an injection port end receiving fuel from a filler tube, an annular valve seat and an end mounted to a fuel tank spud, a poppet(30) moving between the closed position of the valve seat and the open position and pressing the valve to the closed position, and a discharge port(28) formed in the wall of the body in the lower part of the valve seat. The poppet guides the end of the siphon hose inserted to the injection port end and the valve seat out of the discharge port in moving the poppet into the open position by the siphon hose, and the poppet has an annular flexible seal for closing the valve seat by over-molding.
