1,2-diphenzylazetidinones of the formula (I), method for producing these compounds, and medicaments containing said compounds are disclosed, wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 are as defined in the specification. These diphenzylazetidinones are suitable for treating disorders of the lipid metabolism, for example, as hypolipidemics.
