PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for detecting allergen of a mite in dust are provided to simply detect allergen by using a light absorption characteristic of guanine, which is a main component of the allergen. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting allergen of a mite in dust includes a light source(100) for generating ultraviolet rays. A light filter(110) is provided to transmit the ultraviolet rays of a predetermined wavelength band among ultraviolet rays generated from the light source(100). A measuring cell(120) stores a guanine effluent solution. The ultraviolet ray of a predetermined wavelength band transmitting the light filter(110) is irradiated to the measuring cell(120). A light detecting unit(130) is provided to detect the ultraviolet rays having a predetermined wavelength band.
