PURPOSE: An electronic financial transaction card to set a transaction limit and a method for controlling financial transaction using the same are provided to control the financial transaction by enabling a card user or a parent of the card user to set the transaction limit except the transaction limit set from a financial institution. CONSTITUTION: A memory(14) stores financial information for the financial transaction and the fingerprint transaction limit information for limitation when the user performs the financial transaction. A controller(13) performs the financial transaction according that the financial transaction information is agreed with the financial transaction limit information stored in the memory by receiving the financial transaction information including a transaction sum inputted through an input means.
