PURPOSE: A method for managing a credit card settlement amount by using a short message in a mobile communication terminal is provided to calculate a cumulative used amount from a short message received according to a designated amount of money and a designated period, and to output an announcement message in accordance with a predetermined designate amount rank corresponding to the calculated cumulative used amount, thereby effectively managing a credit card settlement amount. CONSTITUTION: Credit card settlement information is stored in a memory(S10). If a short message is received, a controller extracts a current used amount from the short message(S11,S12). The controller calculates a cumulative used amount by cumulating the current used amount(S13), and confirms whether a designated period elapses. If so, the controller updates the credit card settlement information(S14,S15). The controller confirms whether the cumulative used amount corresponds to a designated amount rank, and outputs an announcement message(S16,S17). |
