PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for displaying an electronic program guide of a digital television are provided to display an electronic program guide at an end of a television screen, thereby preventing the electronic program guide from disturbing a user's watching. CONSTITUTION: A program information storing unit(110) stores program information of a broadcast program. An image extracting unit(120) extracts representative images of the broadcast program from the program information stored at the program information storing unit. A control unit(130) classifies the extracted representative images by predetermined fields for displaying the representative images at an end of a television screen simultaneously with the broadcast program.
