PURPOSE: A method for reducing power consumption of a mobile communication terminal mounted with a 3-dimensional engine is provided to convert a texture mapping operation having a severe power consumption problem into a wire frame operation, thereby saving power. CONSTITUTION: A controller and a 3-dimensional application processor operate a 3-dimensional application of a character in texture mapping operational method(301). The controller decides whether an idle mode is set(302). If so, the controller operates a 3-dimensional application of the character in a rendering operational method(303). The controller decides whether a terminal is in sleep mode(304). If so, the controller operates the 3-dimensional application of the character in wire frame operational method(305). |
