[Also in Division H2] Wire stripping tools-of the kind having means for closing the jaws to sever or partsever a cable sheath, so that subsequent relative movement of the cable and jaws may strip the sheath from the cable (referred to in Specifications 1,164,184, 1,110,936, 1,110,935)-are provided with at least one cutting jaw 10 which comprises a plurality of parallel blades 11 and forms a jaw cutting edge of variable configuration. The blades are contained in a rectangular casing (not shown) and may be pivoted at 14. The blades are resiliently urged towards a wire cutting position either by a rubber block (15, Fig. 2, not shown), positioned between the backs of the blades and the base of the casing, or by the free arm (16, Fig. 3, not shown) of each blade which is bent in a U-shape to abut the base of the casing. |
