DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDING SYSTEM FOR EFFICIENTLY RECORDING VIDEO DATA PHOTOGRAPHED BY CAMERAS

PURPOSE: A digital video recording system is provided to efficiently record video data photographed by cameras by recording only normally photographed data at an HDD, thereby increasing capacity of the HDD. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of separators(102) separate a color signal from video image data photographed by a plurality of cameras(100). A switching unit(104) switches to send the video data to a system recording digital video data at an HDD(Hard Disk Drive)(126) and regenerating recorded data. A detecting unit(134) detects the color signal separated at the separators. A microcomputer(132) controls to turn off the switching unit not to transmit the video data to the system if the color signal is different from a preliminarily set signal. If the color signal is identical to the preliminarily set signal, the microcomputer controls to turn on the switching unit to transmit the video data to the system.
