FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the improved method for preparing cyclohexyl nitrate. Invention describes a method for preparing cyclohexyl nitrate by treatment of cyclohexanol with nitric acid and acetic anhydride in the presence of additive in the molar ratio of reagents = 1:(1-1.5):(1-1.5), respectively. For treatment cyclohexanol containing 1-5 wt.-% of cyclohexyl nitrate and/or water is taken and process is carried out with continuous feeding reagents by parallel flows.
