PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for grafting a root-cut graft seedling in high rooting efficiency, and to provide a high-quality root-cut graft seedling. SOLUTION: The method comprises grafting a graft ear to a root-cut stock. Specifically, this method comprises the following practice: A nursery stock as the above stock is subjected to root cutting after producing a cotyledon followed by 1st and 2nd leaves of the main leaf, the 2nd leaf is then removed from the root-cut stock while leaving the 1st leaf intact, the root foot of the 2nd leaf removed is bored, and the graft ear is grafted into the resultant hole.
