<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast program contents management distribution system and its method that are substantially infinite in its storage capacity and are capable of viewing and listening programs afterward even if the program contents have been forgotten to be recorded. <P>SOLUTION: A server apparatus connected through a network and a plurality of terminal devices are coupled. The server apparatus is equipped with a contents whereabouts management storage for storing relationship between identification data of the broadcast program contents and identification data of the terminal devices in whose contents storage each of the broadcast program contents data are stored. When receiving transfer requests of predetermined broadcast program contents from the terminal devices, the server apparatus searches, from the contents whereabouts management storage section, the terminal device in which the predetermined broadcast program contents are stored. The server apparatus transmits, to the terminal device that has been searched out, a control signal for instructing that the predetermined broadcast program contents be transmitted to the terminal device that has requested the transfer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
