PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control transmitter used for remote control of various electronic apparatus and a transmission/reception device using the same, which allow various operations to be performed with easy operation. SOLUTION: An approximately annular resistor 15 and a conductor 16 opposed to each other with a prescribed space between them are arranged below an approximately disk-shaped or annular operation body 13, and prescribed positions of the resistor 15 and the conductor 16 are brought into contact with each other by operation of the operation body 13, and a control means 17 detects this depression position, and a transmission means 18 transmits a remote control signal according to the depression position, and thus many operations are possible with the small number of components and easy operation because the approximately annular resistor 15 having a plurality of contact positions and the conductor 16 constitute switch contacts.
