PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small strap for a shoulder strap which fits well to the side of the body without making a user feel tightness or a pain, the shoulder strap obtained by connecting the small strap and a large strap, and a knapsack to which the shoulder strap is fitted. SOLUTION: The small strap A is obtained by fitting a metal fitting 7 to the proximal end of the small strap body A' in the shape of a curved strap where the axes of a proximal end side half parts 5 and 5 having necessary width and length form a necessary angle with the axes of a distal end side half parts 6 and 6 having the necessary width and length provided successively on one side of its longitudinal direction, and fitting clasps 8 at the distal ends. The shoulder strap D is obtained by connecting the distal end of the large strap C with the clasp 8. To the knapsack E such as a schoolchild's satchel, the shoulder straps D and D are mounted.
