The three-rail slide system has a lock (6) mounted in a slot (31) in the outer rail (3). A spring plate (7) attached to the rail presses on a lug (61) on the lock. A release mechanism (8) is mounted on the central rail (2) with a U-shaped section (84) projecting downwards through a slot (21) in it. An arm (81) projects from the opposite side of the mechanism.
