PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable lid-locking structure in a pressure rice cooker which is provided with an operating member driven by a solenoid on the inner surface of a lid plate for opening and unlocking a lid by moving a ball covering a valve hole by the operating member. SOLUTION: On the inner surface of the lid plate 8 made of synthetic resin, a metallic lid-reinforcing plate is arranged to improve strength of the lid plate. The operating member 22 moving by the operation of the solenoid 23 is arranged at a part where the lid plate 8 is exposed excepting the surface of the lid-reinforcing plate such as a part exposed by boring a through hole at the lid-reinforcing plate so that the the operating member 22 slides on the surface of the lid plate 8 made of synthetic resin. Thus, the lid plate is reinforced by the lid-reinforcing plate and the operating member is moved precisely on the lid plate 8 without regard to the deformation or distortion of the lid-reinforcing plate to surely engage and disengage the locking pawl 25 of the effector 22 to and from a lock lever 12.
